Is this backstory too much to give to my DM?

Vaelen, Drow Bard

Her mom (Orithrall) was an astronomer who 20 years ago made a deal with a devil posing to be the goddess selûne needing aid. Vaelen does not know what the deal was, but she was told that it will pass to her if Orithrall dies. Orithrall fell sick and died 8 years ago. Vaelen believes that the devil could come at anytime to explain what she must do to complete the bargain her mother made 20 years ago. After her mother died Vaelen then started working as a ship drummer for about 6 years until 2 years ago when she found out she could do magic by accidentally blowing off a few fingers from a dwarven merchant named Koldren, so she ran away and has been traveling in an attempt to understand her now known abilities ever since.
