Character verification certificate

has anyone here gotten a police character verification certificate made from Karachi for Visa purposes or otherwise?

I filled out the online application portal three days ago, and on going to the digp office I was just referred from one station to the next as my application was not cleared apparently , then I was given the number of an officer who is calling me at 10 30 pm at night and asking me to come to the office as verification is a hectic process , will need my thumbprints and hard copies of everything etc etc

none of my friends who recently got their certificates from the same place had to face this issue, they just filled the online application and received their certificate upon going to the office.

can anyone please guide me regarding this matter its an urgent request
