Do secondary weapon stats count towards your build when using your main weapon?

Hello everyone. I have a feeling i already know the answer, but I'd like confirmation. If you're using your primary weapon do the secondary weapon stats count for anything? I'm pretty sure only the grace or set bonus counts in this instance but if anyone can confirm that for me it would be great. I don't wanna waste resources on something that doesn't count. Thanks in advance and enjoy this amazing game!
