Be careful at the spa

Just wanted to share a mistake we made during our recent voyage. Bf and I decided to treat ourselves to a couple’s massage. It was already pricy for us, but decided it was our splurge activity. The massage went great and we felt very relaxed, and then they came back to upsell us. We’re not used to this as it’s only our 2nd massage, and when we tried to say no we were made to feel like we needed products. We ended up with two $75 products, both which are over 3 oz so we had to pay $50 to check a bag on the flight home. One of these products is a bath soak and we don’t own a bath. An extra $200 we could have avoided by being more assertive. Unfortunately this tainted the massage experience and we won’t being doing it on a cruise again.
