Music people of reddit, I'm looking for a word but I can't figure it out. I'm playing a piece that has different sections that are named and labeled.

Ok, so like I said above, named and labeled; however, they aren't new movements since those would be like headers to a page to indicate a completely new section. They are like a cross between movements and passages, and put in as small text over the measure starting the new section. What's the word for this.

(Note I'm not showing the piece since it's a new composition and I'll be performing it tomorrow for the first time.)
