Flare.. Maybe?
Hey everyone, I’m mostly just posting to vent and see if anyone else relates, because this last week has been… a lot.
I’ve been dealing with pretty constant lightheadedness and head pressure — not full spinning vertigo, but that floaty, almost drunk-at-bedtime feeling. What’s throwing me off the most is that it’s happening even when I’m lying down or waking up from sleep, not just when standing. I’ve also had bouts of static/visual snow, pressure in my forehead, and that general “something feels off” sensation that’s hard to explain but very familiar with POTS. Hydration has been harder than usual (I wake up feeling super thirsty), and I’ve had some sinus stuff going on, so I’m guessing it’s a combo flare — but it’s still scary when symptoms change or feel more intense than your normal baseline.
I know POTS can do weird things, but waking up dizzy and feeling lightheaded while resting really messes with my head. Trying to remind myself that flares aren’t linear and that my nervous system is just being extra loud right now.
If anyone has dealt with:
lightheadedness even while lying down head pressure or pressure that moves visual static during flares nighttime/waking dizziness
I’d love to hear what helps you or just know I’m not alone. Thanks for listening — this illness can feel isolating, especially on weeks like this.
