Didn't get tkts - Cancelled hotel rooms and flights

Personally, I already thought it a stretch buying $600 tickets pp (Holland/Japan game) and TBH, I thought there was no way a 1st round game would sell out at that price. So I pre-booked hotel and flights. But I guess it did sell out or FIFA is holding back tickets. Either way, there's no way I'm paying more for that especially for a 1st round game. I was going to go with my wife and son so this was also times 3. I must admit that I am shocked that these games are sold out at these prices.

I can't help but feel there's some FIFA shenanigans going on as it seems ONLY people who tried to get tickets to multiple games got them with FIFA eyeing the resell market IMO to make extra $$$. I only tried for one game and didn't get them. I don't know ANYONE who tried to get one game and got them. Yet again and again I read about people who applied for multiple games hoping to get one and got them all and are now forced to sell them on the marketplace. This absolutely does not feel like a fair lottery as they claim with it weighted to people asking for multiple games more likely to get them.
