to kindle or not to kindle?

I know it's not technically related to sapphic literature but I wanted to get some input!

I've been interested in a kindle lately. however, I absolutely SUCK at reading ebooks on my phone. I do think the phone is the problem here, but I'm worried I'm wrong.

my brain associates my phone with the machine that can do literally anything with the touch of a finger. so actually sitting down and trying to read a book without losing focus is pretty hard.

i DO think a kindle would help this, because it literally ONLY does books. the screen also seems a lot less harsh than a phone screen. I love the portability of it, it seems so much easier to read in bed with, all that good stuff.

I'm just scared to make the jump, has anyone else had a similar experience or am I completely alone in this lol
