Gifted 4x4 stainless post

Buddy of mine said he'd be giving me a 4x4 stainless steel post. Its roughly 8 feet long and i was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what i should do with it. I don't need it for any line of work so i was wondering how i could use it for a project and if so welding it into something. Any ideas or suggestions?
