Oathbringer…Vent. (SPOILERS)

Okay, I want to start this by saying that I absolutely loved WoR, and can acknowledge that coming off hot from that MIGHT be influencing these feelings…but seriously guys, when does Oathbringer get good? Does it ever?!

Jasnah was one of my favorite characters in WoK and her return in Oathbringer just… fell flat for me. No one really talks about it, Shallan and her jump straight to business. I get that Jasnah has a slightly detached and more serious personality but really? Where are the emotions of any of these characters? Idk just didn’t hit for me.

I just finished part 1, but I will be honest, it’s dragging for me. Is this worth pushing through? Are any of these novels as good as WoR? Does Sanderson ever achieve that level of prestige again in this series?
