Advice for temporary LDR
I wanna start by saying I know that I'm very fortunate for these to be my circumstances, but it's still a big adjustment right now.
Long story short - I applied and got a job offer for a position that I just couldn't pass up, so I accepted. It's across the country (2 hour time zone difference now, about 2,000 miles). My boyfriend (30m) and I (25f) agreed to 12-18 months long distance while I got established in my career, and then we would reassess living situations after I had more leniency to move again. I should mention that we now both work at the same company, but different locations (which is wonderful in terms of future opportunity). Somewhere in the midst of all of this, my bf submitted a one-off application at my new work site and received an offer letter with a start date of roughly 6 weeks out. So, he'll be joining me across the country to live in about 5 weeks.
I recognize that we got the best possible outcome out of this and I feel so fortunate to have a partner who would move across the country for both of us.
However, as someone who tends to lean towards an anxious attachment style, these 5 weeks feel so daunting. Any advice on how to get through this while still being able to be myself would be appreciated!
