Graphic novels, buy the volumes or buy the parts for kindle?

I’m looking on Amazon and there are Sons of Ares “volumes” that are 3 installments around 20 bucks a pop, but there are also Sons of Ares “parts” that are 6 installments that are only 2 dollars each. Can someone explain the differences and what you get with each?
