Spiraling over a new tattoo

I initially wanted a fine line + shading tattoo, but ended up getting a watercolor-style tattoo. I don’t think I communicated that clearly to the artist because I was so focused on the design itself, especially since it was a cover-up. Now I’m kind of spiraling because the result looks much bolder than what I originally envisioned. I do like the design, I’m just shocked by how bold it looks on my skin. Is this just a tattoo shock?
