How do people feel about the delayed update in NA/EU

I know many games do this and put NA/EU game updates 12 hours behind the Asia/CN ones. My guess this is so there's more time for the players so they don't get the first 12 hours of the updated content in the middle of the night.

Though with people posting about new game updates and friends who are on different servers already spoiling content about the upcoming updates, I feel it's more convenient if the content gets updated at the same time.
