How to find a good area to practice if you want to move out of state?

Dental Professional

I have a practice I started ten years ago that is struggling. I’ve been considering moving out of state. I live in Louisiana. I’ve been practicing for 17 years in my state, and I’ve had a hard time making a decent income because opportunities were hard to find and it’s become very saturated. I should’ve moved years ago.

I keep reading on forums that you should go where you’re needed, go rural, etc. Does anyone have advice on how exactly to go about finding a city or state that actually needs dentists? I would prefer to live in a warmer area.
