Lucid dreaming nightmare? Please help🙏🏼
I had a dream a few years ago that I can’t stop thinking about. I’ve never had anything like it happen, and nothing like it has happened since. From a young age, I’ve been able to come to in my dreams and realize that I’m dreaming (not always but sometimes) and I can control my dreams. Usually nothing bad happens. I just say very quietly to myself, “I’m dreaming” and carry on with my dream. Until this one dream a few years ago. I don’t remember exactly what was happening, but I know I didn’t like it. It was making me anxious which made me come to and realize I was dreaming. I’ve never done this before and I don’t know why I did it, but I guess I was just so anxious and aggravated with what was going on, that I just YELLED out “THIS IS JUST A DREAM!!” And everyone just kinda froze and stared at me for a second. Then everything sort of just melted away. There was an empty space all around me. But lighting up that empty space, were the most beautiful lights. It looked like the northern lights except it was all blue/indigo. I was standing there admiring it when I felt the most intense pain in my head I have ever felt in my life. It was the front of my head, forehead area. It was hurting SO BAD I thought my head was splitting open. I stared PANICKING BADDD!! I just squeezed my eyes shut really hard and kept telling myself over and over again to “wake up! Wake up! Wake up!” I usually don’t struggle at all to wake up from a dream but I was STRUGGLING! I genuinely thought I was going to die (I know, dramatic). I finally woke myself up after what felt like a lifetime, but was probably only 10-15 seconds, and when I did, my head was still hurting so bad. It took a good like, 10-15 or so minutes for the pain to go away. I have no idea what happened or what it means. Does anyone happen to know what happened or what this means?
