First-timer DIY Nabota: Need help with reconstitution & Masseter (TMJD) placement
Hey everyone! I’m finally diving into the world of DIY neurotoxins with Nabota 100u. I’m mainly doing this to treat my TMJD/Masseters, but I’m a bit overwhelmed by the conflicting info online. Hoping the veterans here can clarify a few things!
- Reconstitution Confusion
What is the "gold standard" for Nabota? I have 0.9% Bacteriostatic Saline, but I keep seeing different dilution ratios.
How many mL of saline should I add to a 100u vial for a beginner-friendly concentration?
Is 2.5mL the standard, or should I go "thicker" (1mL or 2mL) for masseters?
- Needle Specs
What needle gauge/length is best for facial injections? I want to minimize bruising but make sure I’m hitting the right depth.
- The "Insulin Syringe" Math
I have standard 100-unit insulin syringes (leftover from my peptide runs).
How do I convert "units of liquid" on the syringe to "units of Tox"?
Is there a specific calculator or a "cheat sheet" you guys use to make sure you aren’t over-injecting?
- TMJD & Masseter Specifics
For those of you treating TMJD:
How many units do you usually start with per side?
Asymmetry: My right side is noticeably larger/stronger. Do you inject more units into the bigger side, or keep it even?
Angle/Depth: For the masseter, should I be injecting at a strict 90-degree angle (straight in)?
- Learning Resources
Who are the best "DIY educators" to watch for mapping and depth? I’ve heard mixed things about different Rumble/Telegram channels. Any specific threads or creators that are "must-watches" before I poke my face?
Appreciate any advice or "don't do what I did" stories!
