Milk

Made myself some cereal using store brought pasturised milk. It goes out of date tomorrow and tasted fine but its been open in the fridge for 9 days, and apparently it should be used within 5-7days once opened. now im freaking out that ive exposed myself to listeria or something, or id this something I just shouldn't worry about?
