Photo of Borgs Held by Two White Women with N Word Written Out Circulated on Nevada YikYak
Students are writing messages to greek life administration and to the Dean of Students at UNR as well as to our channels after a photo circulated on the Nevada YikYak with two white women side by side with their faces visible holding two Borgs which put together spelled the N word.
Instagram handles were included for the two women in a TikTok but these are no longer active.
Posts about this have been ongoing since yesterday on YikYak and TikTok.
A screenshot of one reply we were sent from Cate Bakey, listed as a student worker for the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, indicates: “Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. I have forwarded this to the appropriate parties for review. Have a good rest of your weekend!”
We will be contacting school officials on Monday about this.
