Subs are inhuman??

NSFW

So I came across a lot of comments in a subs support group and let me tell you what I noticed!

In this space, subs share their experiences and get advice and support from fellow subs. However I'm seeing Doms coming into the mix talking down on said subs. Mind you, this is their space to be themselves and share their issues. One comment that particularly bothered me as a Soft Domme was from a "domme" saying subs are inhuman and should be treated as such. This said "domme" later admits to be new to the lifestyle after being reprimanded by another domme.

Firstly, before we are Doms and subs, we are humans with minds, feelings and needs. It is important to respect one another and communicate effectively about what is and isn't appropriate for each relationship. Lately anyone can call themselves a Dom or sub without doing their research and learning about the lifestyle. And as such, we are noticing a rise in toxicity within the D/s space where either party just shows up and makes demands without proper dialog and agreement on rules and the nature of the relationship.

Secondly, It is also important to note that there is a time and space for everything. In this instance, the sub was talking about quitting the lifestyle for a certain amount of time then relapsing and wishing he could find a domme who would be willing to foster a long term relationship that is healthy and with set boundaries (he's into findom by the way). For someone to show up and say "pick me you scum, you're inhuman and your concerns don't matter, just do as I wish and spend on me regardless" was inappropriate.

Lastly, as a Domme, your role is to lead. You set the tone and pace. If we lack organization as Dommes, our D/s relationships will fail. Fostering healthy relationships with our subs doesn't mean we are losing our power no, it's simply us mapping out the relationship and leading our subs accordingly. If you lead them recklessly, they will go astray and vice versa.

Maybe I'm too soft of a Domme but are subs inhuman?? Do their opinions not matter? Or we're just going to dictate and throw away consent now??
