QUESTION: Is it better for someone in the later stages to enter memory care, or similar, sooner rather than later when behavior issues likely become more problematic?
I am at a loss as to when it might become untenable to continue at home care. It is me, my sister, 76, and a HHA that comes 6 hours each weekday (if no conflicting appointments). It is a real roller coaster with endless sleepless nights. I feel ok today since I got some good sleep last night. I am trying to weigh the affect of a move like that and whether she will recover from the enormous change or it will just be the last straw. This disease is torture for all involved. As are others I'm sure. Thanks for your comments.
