I have lost my AirPods 4th

I know that there already A LOT of complaints like this here, but I am actually losing my mind. The last time I saw my AirPods was 2 weeks ago. I was sick, so I didn’t leave the house at all. The battery died, and since then I don’t know where they are, and I know I didn’t leave the house with them, because the last known location is my bedroom. I live in a students accommodation and my room is literally 16m2. I looked everywhere, even had a friend come and look with me.

I was wondering if anyone has any tips of places that I might have not looked yet. Because they are inside.

Also, what’s up with not being able to use the sound effect when they run out of battery? We can go to space, but not make an earpod ring when they’re dead?
