Apartment Maintenance/Upgrades

Hi! I’ve been living in my apartment complex for over 5 years. When I first moved in, the shower and kitchen were already pretty outdated. Now the kitchen cabinets are literally falling apart — you can tell they’ve just been repainted white multiple times over the years. The paint in my shower is peeling, and the cracks are starting to fill with mold.

Can I request that these be upgraded or replaced? Has anyone dealt with something similar?
