Disadvantages to getting BEd out of province then applying to OCT?

Hello! Looking for some guidance as I have been accepted to some BEd programs in Ontario as well as Memorial University in Newfoundland. I'm having a tough time deciding between going to Memorial or a school in Ontario.

The advantage of going to Memorial is that the program is 1 year long instead of 2 years in Ontario. I would save time and 1 year of rent. I would also avoid potentially graduating with double competition for jobs (if the BEd program switches to 1 year in Ontario in 2027).

Some potential disadvantages to going out of province is that I won't be doing practicum with Ontario boards and networking. Plus I would have to transfer my license over to Ontario and I've heard OCT takes a long time.

For anyone who has gone out of province, switched to Ontario from another province, or has faced this choice please give advice!! Thanks in advance!
