Why doesn’t Millbrae station have bike channels for the stairs/escalators?
Millbrae forces you to go up to the main concourse and then back down to the tracks, and most of the escalators only move up. Even then, they’re still awkward to hold a bike on. The stairs are quite tall, so may people don’t have the strength to carry a bike up/down them. The elevators are extremely slow for some reason, so you have to arrive to the station 10 minutes ahead of time if you need to ride an elevator up and another on down without missing the train.
A bike channel like they have in the Mission BART stations seems like a super easy and low cost solution. Why did the not build these here from the start? Are there plans to?
