Xbox privacy settings cannot be changed no matter what I do

Im in the US but my account was set to the UK for some reason. When the age verification stuff in the UK came into effect a few days ago my Xbox privacy settings were restricted. I have since changed my profile to be US and the settings are unblocked but changing them does nothing. I’ve tried doing it on my Xbox series x, my old Xbox one s, the Xbox app on my phone and ion my computer as well. I saw people complain about it but no official statements from Xbox or Microsoft. And since Xbox support website is hot garbage I don’t feel like chatting to the stupid bai bot for 2 hours before they finally decided to connect me to a tell person who knows nothing about Xbox either. So does anyone know if this issue is fixable or if Xbox know about it and are going to fix it soon?
