New Steam Tag

Its a problem most of us are familiar with. It sucks searching for traditional shmups since the Shoot 'em Up encompasses much more than shmups such as vampire survivor clones and even FPS games. After a little bit of googling it seems like we can only do custom tags for ourselves and developers would have to add the tag themselves to make it official. Can anyone confirm this is correct? I just really would like to make a new tag and maybe get the message to devs to make it a reality.
I had a couple ideas for tag names.
•Traditional Shmup (Trad Shmup) - I understand this one not being popular because of various association's with Trad.
•Conventional Shmup (Con Shmup) - I personally not sure about this because shorting Conventional to Con kind of has negative connotation since it makes me think Con man. •Orthodox Shmup (Ort or Orth Shmup) - I know its a word typically used for religious purposes, but the definition of adhering to establish, traditional or Conventional beliefs fits. I also thought it was a bit humorous, like Shmups is our religion. I dont know if I like the abbreviation of orthodox.
