is visiting a school you are waitlisted at before the seat deposit deadline weird?

I am planning on scheduling a class visit for a school I am on the waitlist for before their seat deposit deadline and admitted students day. The website gives me the option to schedule the visit and I can put my status on the form as "Waitlisted."

I am mainly doing this to have specific content to speak to in my first LOCI ahead of the seat deposit deadline.

Can someone be honest with me and tell me if this is weird? I want to show my genuine interest but I also want to make sure I am not coming across as too eager or invasive. Any insight is appreciated.
