How do I consume all my Petroleum?
Hello, this is my first post here and I'm brand new to the game, coming from Satisfactory. Enjoying the game so far and I've reached the point where I've automated all the sciences up to Blue science at a rate of 1/s and I'm using advanced oil refining. When I started producing oil products I created a small branch that creates solid fuel from light oil (since it's the most efficient) and moved my entire steam power line there so it works entirely off of that. However, I have a bit of an unforeseen issue where if my petroleum backs up my refineries stop producing the other two products, which I understand is by design.
The issue is I don't know how to fully consume all the Petroleum I'm making. I'm currently producing 180 units/s, 70/s of which comes from light oil cracking. I'm using all of that to make 4/s of Sulfur and 12/s of plastic. That does technically consume all 180 units/s but that just kicks the can down the road. I'm not coming anywhere near to consuming all that plastic. Anyway it just feels like I'm just gonna keep producing products and those products are gonna produce other stuff and at the end of the line I'm still gonna have something that's not being consumed and so my petroleum will back up and then my power will shut off.
Is there a solution for this? Is fuelling your boilers with solid fuel this way just a bad idea? I could get around the problem by just producing solid fuel directly from Petroleum but why should I be forced to use a less resource efficient method? There's no "Awesome Sink" equivalent in this game that I'm aware of and even if there was I wouldn't want to use it because resources are limited in this game.
