Got sucked into Project Gorgon, demo is free, give it a try

I kept seeing people talk about this game on this sub and honestly wondered if they were bots, because so many people seemed to comment about it out of nowhere 😂😭 I’ve now put in about 38 hours and I’ve had so much fun. I’ve gotten completely sucked in.

I wouldn’t say the mechanics are anything out of the ordinary or special, but the game itself is a breath of fresh air. It scratches that itch I’ve been missing of community that I’ve only seemed to get from WoW Classic resets or OSRS clans. Also the build customizations remind me of pre WOTLK talent trees in that there are so many combinations you can do.

I’m sure the grind, gearing, and leveling speed will wear on me once I’m a higher level, but as of now I’m having so much fun and I’m glad I picked it up. Will be spending at least a few more days on it, which makes it worth it in my book!

Definitely pick up the demo. The community is super helpful, fairly active, and the game doesn’t feel dead. I will say it is a game where you have to be willing to explore and learn a lot on your own, as the wiki doesn’t help much and there’s no real quest guidance. It reminds me of old school WoW and old RuneScape without the plugins in that sense. Sure, the graphics aren’t amazing, but for an indie dev team you can count on one hand, they’ve done a great job and you get over it pretty fast. make sure for FPS purposes you put the graphics setting on auto adjust!
