We do not take the desecration of art by Generative AI seriously enough

(This only applies to generative AI, AI that cures cancer is awesome 👍)

Humanity’s relationship with art, whether it be visual, music, literary or in any other way is one of the most sacred things we have. Nothing is so poignant, so moving, so incredible in its ability to empower everybody that partakes in it, whether it be the disenfranchised, the voiceless or just generally those marginalized, art is the most beautiful culmination of the human desire to create.

Point being, art is amongst the best things humanity has done and continues to do, so we should not take it lightly when AI encroaches on it.

AI is the concept of “flooding the zone with shit” extrapolated to encompass the entire field of the arts. It is a sewage drain pouring into an oasis, drowning all life and worth out of it with a fucking stream of slop. It is only the most recent advancement in our rapidly fascistifying late stage capitalist world to strip the human of all of their hope and joy and turn the vehicle of that hope and joy into a brown-ish grey sludge served to them tepid by corporate machines. It is another boot to stomp on our collective throats as we watch in terror at the destruction of the human spirit by profit and convenience.
