Main Street

Yesterday I was walking home along my usual street. Nothing special was happening, and there were only a few cars on the road. Near the sidewalk, I noticed a cat walking close to the street. It looked like an ordinary stray cat.

A few seconds later, the cat suddenly ran onto the road. At that moment, a car was driving by. The driver pressed the brakes, but the distance was too short. The car hit the cat. Everything happened very quickly, in just a moment.

The driver stopped for a few seconds and then drove away. Almost no one on the street paid much attention. I just stood there, not fully understanding what had happened. It was an unpleasant situation, but things like this sometimes happen.
