Truth2Power: Chance the Rapper - "Promised, you said it would rain, finally I’m home You left on the light when I left on the flight, but I made it alright"

"Promised, you said it would rain, finally I’m home You left on the light when I left on the flight, but I made it alright"

• Chance the Rapper, Sunday Candy (Saturday Night Live Version) (Released: December 12, 2015)

Genius Annotation:

People usually leave a light on when members of their family leave so they return well. Now that he’s a mainstream artist, Chance normally needs to go on tour every once in a while. His family left the light hoping he will return just fine, and he did.

Now is time to celebrate!
