Should I buy this 2012 Modified
Drove by a wrangler parked on someone’s lawn for sale today for 9500. 100k miles automatic 2 door. 1 accident (carfax shows sideswipe while at a parking lot). It has scuffing on the top part of the roll cage right about the windshield as well. Fuel rims in good condition, aftermarket bumpers (no winch), aftermarket fenders and fender liners (RC). Pulled the vin and it shows repairs including a full A/C system replacement, rear main oil seal repair, intake gasket replacement, spark plugs and ignition coils, EVAP/emissions components, and complete fluid services for the engine, brakes, differentials, transfer case, and cooling system. All in the last year. I know general rule of thumb says don’t buy a modified wrangler but I’m wondering if this is an exception given the extensive maintenance just conducted. Opinions? Would be my 2nd 2012 I’ve owned and my 6th jeep. Would likely sell my 2025 gladiator for reference as I’d probably enjoy not caring if someone dings my door too much.
