I hate when I feel
I hate when I feel
Because I know it’s not real
The way you look at me, I feel
Something that is not real.
Maybe it’s a possibility
But it’s not reality
But why do your sentences allude me
I get lost in the things that you’re saying
It feels like I have some sort of connection with you
But I know it’s my mind playing a game that’s not true
A need which is not real, and you simply are beautiful
I as a man have realized I can let a flower be
If I see it walking by, there’s no need to rip the roots from it’s feet
Now I realize as I get older, all I did was fill a need
But now I realize it’s my mind lying to me,
For eye contact is not love or anything
But still, there’s this feeling I get when someone says the same thing
When our eyes interconnect and we talk easily
Forever, I will long to hold someone’s hand in that need,
But I am getting old and I realize it’s no longer everything.
