How do you stay comfortable with the growing influence of AI in important real-world decisions?
Lately I’ve noticed more companies and institutions relying on AI for things that used to be strictly human decisions — hiring, moderation, recommendations, even some policy support.
Part of me thinks it’s efficient and kind of inevitable. But another part feels weird imagining a future where AI could influence government choices or public policies in a real way. Not in a sci-fi takeover sense, just gradually becoming normal.
I can’t tell if my curiosity is justified or if I’m just overthinking tech progress like people always do with new innovations.
Has anyone else felt this mix of fascination and discomfort? How do you personally draw the line between “useful tool” and “too much influence”?
