Making feet paws and need some fabric recommendations :3

I’ve got a semi partial suit and decided i’d like to try and make myself some matching feet paws for an upcoming convention. the foam is no issue and i’ve already got some on the way. i have the fur needed for the majority of the legs, but im not sure what fabric to get for the toes. should i use plain faux fur like with the legs and shave it down? or should i use minky? stretch minky? any advice is greatly appreciated!!!
