Tips for driving through the Gotthard Tunnel in August with a dog? 🐶🇨🇭

I need to drive through the Gotthard Tunnel and across Switzerland in August with my dog. Since it’s peak travel season, I’m a bit worried about traffic jams and heat.

Does anyone have practical tips or experience on what to watch out for (ttiming, breaks, heat, etc.)?
