Long Range Wireless Access Point Through Trees Wireless

Hi all, I am looking to install a wireless access point with the most stable coverage, 700ft, through the foliage of maple and oak trees. The purpose is to have a stable 2.4ghz connection with at least 20mbps on a standard laptop connection for video conferencing where 4g is not available. I'll give more detail below.

Distance: 717ft

Beam barriers: Around 10-15 oak and maple trees, but no houses, rocks, concrete, etc.. just the trees.

Location details

  • The "sending" side is a boat dock with a pole, where I will mount the access point roughly 17ft above the sea level, outdoors. I will have cat6 run to this area, ideally powering the AP on POE.
  • Through the 717ft before getting to the "receiving side", there is about 200ft of open air, followed by 200ft of maple and oak trees, followed by about 300ft of open air.
  • The "receiving side" is a 50ftx50ft parking lot where I am looking to get reliable (not fast) internet to a laptop while sitting in a truck, about 7ft above sea level.

I do not have power in this parking lot for a point to point system, I do not own the land in-between (to run fiber or other wire), nor do I have the approval to try and permanently install one on this truck (work truck), so I am really looking for an access point at the sending spot that can beam internet to this parking lot. 2.4ghz is more than fine. Mostly I will be doing video conferencing where 10mbps is fine, but it just needs to be as stable as possible. There is no 4g for any carrier in this location. I tried a 4g booster and was able to get intermittent internet, and gave up on that option.

I've seen a ton of options from Ubiquity, TP Link, and EnGenius that might work, but I'm a bit of a novice at understanding the dB gains, what's directional as far as antennas, and what can work as an A/P and not need the point to point bridge.

Ideally I would like to find something with a 5-10 degree beam to focus the beam strength toward this parking lot since that is the only location I will be using it. Something in the 2.4ghz range so it has better penetration, and something with a high quality external antenna. I am not too concerned with price on this. All the hardware I'm finding is <$1,000 budget total, and that's about what I'm willing to spend if there was something to do this right.

As of now, my research has led me to the airMAX Bullet AC IP67 by Ubiquity with a high gain directional antenna such as the airMAX PowerBeam M2 400. However, I can't seem to find reliable info of whether the airMAX PowerBeam M2 400 would even work to broadcast the 2.4ghz from the sending to receiving location or if it is solely designed for a point to point system where I would have power at the receiving side to set up a point to point receiver and A/P there.

Any suggestions on what the most reliable hardware would be for this setup?

Some extra info below

I tried the U7 Pro Outdoor by Ubiquity held up on a pole to test. Not tuned specifically well, but on 2.4ghz, facing the right direction. It allowed the laptop to see the SSID and connect, but not reliable enough to even load a webpage. I know this is not the ideal product, but I had one to borrow to see if it's even possible, and this gave me hope.

I'm not opposed to installing something on my laptop if it would help. For example if there was a 900mhz option, but it needed a usb dongle on the laptop to receive it, that's ok for this purpose if such a thing exists. So long as I can get reliable 10mbps that works.

Thanks everyone.
