Best Shower/Tub kit w/ Metal Tub spout for the money?

Hello all,

Remodeling my kids' bathroom and I find it absurd that all the new Shower/Tub hardware comes with a plastic tubspouts. I want to stick with major brands (delta/Moen/Kohler etc). What kits have you had luck with that don't cost $800 bucks? I am having a hard time determining which kits indeed come with a metal tub spout and preferably the new valve if possible . (I need to order that as well)
