Expectations for how a man (and his family) should behave when seeking a woman for marriage

Pre-Nikah

I need to know what people think about this topic. When a Muslim man wants to marry a woman, and has been speaking to her for 3 years (with the permission of both sets of parents), are there any specific expectations for how the man’s family should honour the woman’s family? I mean this specifically in terms of how friendly they should be, how sociable, how proactive in bringing the families together and seeking for progress to be made in moving forward with actual wedding planning, etc.

If a man and woman have decided they’re ready to get married after the initial “halal getting to know each other” phase, and the man’s family come to the woman’s home for that official visit, how often are they ideally supposed to keep in contact with the woman’s family? Is it fair to be insulted when they take a long time to even reach out again to discuss the actual wedding, even though everyone’s on board? Is it classed as bad manners or is the woman expected to just let them take their time (6+ months) seeing as the commitment being made is more so implied as opposed to solid?
