Mom and Son School Shooter movie

My mom watched this movie she said it might be on youtube or netflix. About a mom and son who move to a new town. The mom is an alcoholic. She is struggling because the father dies and they had to move. The boy makes friends but he is an outsider and he get's a girlfriend. But his friend get's jealous and tries to shoot up the school but the boy stops him. Does this movie even exist?
