In politics it's a climate of us vs them

In watching the series ' America, the story of us ' I was motivated to dischat a lot of people are thinking about our political system and what it has become.

I am for America, despite the shortcomings that may still exist socially. People I know hate our president, not so much for his policies, but for his personality. Because he is Republican, everything he does is opposed by probably most Democrat politicians.

Personally, my opinion is he is genuinely trying to improve our economy and protect our citizens. I would like to see a real discussion on policy instead of one based on hate. The country seems to be almost divided in a sense as it was before the civil war. I am interested in what you have to say... again I'm not interested in trash talk. Thank you for your time.
