Is Jimmy the background noise?
Just watched the Bone Temple, and it feels like a reverse trope of the typical zombie films etc. I mean, if you look at The Last of Us, The Walking Dead or 28 Days Later, it always kinda starts out as the zombies being the focus, and it usually evolves into the zombies being a threat in the background ("background noise") while human relationships, threats etc. come into the foreground.
Jimmy feels like a typical psychopath, we spend considerable time on him and his group, but it feels like very surface level stuff while the truly intriguing stuff happens with the doctor. And Jimmy's story concludes without really any big twist or anything.
Do you think my interpretation has merits, or is it totally off the mark?
