How to play louder in upper register?

So I’ve seen tons of advice from people both I’ve interacted with/seen both online and in person that playing softly in the upper register while focusing on avoiding tension and letting the trumpet resonate as opposed to forcing the sound is a great way to develop coordination in the upper register. My question is, once you develop that coordination, how do you progress to a bigger sound, more akin to the sound necessary to play lead trumpet in a big band?
