I picked up the Honor WIN because I was curious about its massive battery capacity. It packs a 10,000mAh battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. Thanks to the silicon-carbon battery technology, the thickness and weight are surprisingly similar to recent "Pro" or "Ultra" flagships (spec-wise its 8.3mm and 229g).

As the name suggests, it’s a gaming-centric device, so it features an internal cooling fan. Interestingly, it’s tucked away inside the camera island. Air goes in through the fan intake and exhausts through the gaps in the camera bump. Unlike the RedMagic (another fan-cooled gaming phone), this one actually supports a high dust resistance rating.

Key Specs
Processor & Storage: Snapdragon 8 Elite, UFS 4.1 storage.
Display: AMOLED with 185Hz refresh rate, 5920Hz PWM dimming, and 6,000 nits peak brightness.
Camera: The camera setup is roughly mid-range, but it takes great photos in daylight.
Refresh Rate: Most apps are capped at 120Hz; the higher refresh rates are only supported in specific games. For example, Call of Duty: Mobile runs up to 165fps.

There’s also a slightly lower-tier model called the WIN RT. It uses the standard Elite chip instead of the Elite Gen 5, lacks the telephoto lens and wireless charging, but keeps the same battery, cooling fan, main camera, and display. Given the price gap, the RT might be the better value if you're just looking for a secondary gaming device.

After using it for a few days, I can confirm the battery life is as insane as the numbers suggest. I used the WIN as my primary device for a while (only keeping my main phone for banking and messaging apps), and from Feb 8th (10 AM) to Feb 9th (7 PM), it went from 100% to 5%. I recorded over 18 hours of Screen-On Time (SOT)

Most of this was on 5G data with brightness near maximum, involving web surfing, YouTube, social media, and occasional photography. While heavy gaming would obviously drain it faster, it will easily last two full days under general usage.

Audio: The speaker volume is very loud, but the sound starts to distort or "crack" at higher volumes.
Camera Button: It has a dedicated physical button, but unfortunately, it only supports launching the camera/game mode or AI features that aren't very useful outside of China. This seems to be a common trait among Honor's domestic Chinese versions. Since the button isn't touch-sensitive, you can't use it for things like zoom adjustment; it only functions as a shutter.

I was also curious about the cooling fan's performance, so I ran the Wild Life Extreme Stress Test at room temperature with the fan both on and off. I did notice the score bouncing back during one of the loops with the fan enabled, but there wasn't a significant performance gain compared to having it off.

I’ve included a few photos I took with the device!
