Are there people who didn't qualify gate in first attempt but secured good rank in next attempt

Please don't Ignore !!!! I'm totally devasted i prepared for 3-4 months and got 26 marks cs2 . I got so panicked in the exam i left few question unseen and even forget what i knew is there any way i can secure good rank in next attempt I'm currently in 6th sem
