Persistent Testicular Pain + Small Penile Skin Change (Normal Ultrasound)

Hi, I’m a 22 male with intermittent testicular pain for about 6 months. The pain sometimes feels like a dull “kicked” sensation and can reach 6–7/10. It worsens with sitting.

I saw a urologist and had a physical exam, urine test, and Doppler ultrasound. Results were normal except for a 9 mm left epididymal cyst. Blood flow was normal. I was prescribed antibiotics and anti-inflammatories. Pain improved somewhat but still comes and goes.

Around the same time the pain started, I noticed a small area on the left underside near the base of my penis:

Slight indentation

Initially purplish, now lighter

No open wound, discharge, or hard lump

Present for months without major change

No fever or acute swelling.

I’m very anxious about cancer or torsion, even though ultrasound was normal.

Does this sound concerning? Could the epididymal cyst cause these symptoms?
