Female cockatiel biting very hard

She is not even a year old and still going through her first molt. She is not biting out of aggression but out of curiosity or preening. She will start to chew at my fingers then bite my nail very hard or she’ll bite my nose like that when it was gentle preening or playing with my nose ring. I’ve never had a bird just nonchalantly bite like that. Does anyone have advice on what I can do to teach her to not bite as hard when exploring things?
