I'm a metal guitarist who accidentally fell in love with classical guitar afterrestoring a 1971 Framus... What should I learn next?
Hey everyone,
I mostly play metal and electric guitar, but recently i restored a 1971 Framus 5/12 S just as a fun little project. I didn't expect much from it, but once it was playable i started messing around with classical pieces.
Now I'm kind of obsessed.
I keep going down the rabbit hole of older music, especially baroque stuff. Bach and Vivaldi sounds amazing on guitar, but most of the pieces I find are still way beyond my level.
So far I've learned:
● Tárrega - Etude in E Minor
● Spanish Romance
Both felt like a good challenge but still manageable.
I'd love some recomendations for what to learn next. Ideally:
● musical pieces (not just technical studies)
● beginner / early-intermediate level
● bonus points if it has a baroque vibe
Also curious if annyone else here came from metal and ended up enjoying classical guitar way more than expected.
Thanks!
